How does It Work? ♻️

🔐 The key mechanism behind TriggerTech triggers is their unique, non-contacting roller system. Traditional triggers often rely on friction to control the sear release, which can lead to inconsistencies and variations in the trigger pull. ⚖️ In contrast, these triggers employ a rolling friction system that eliminates sliding friction and ensures a clean break.

📌 Thanks to our knowledge and experience, we outlined a simplified explanation of how it works:

  • ➡️ Initial Take-Up: When you first apply pressure to the trigger, you’ll encounter a small amount of take-up or slack. This initial take-up is designed to provide tactile feedback, indicating that the trigger is being engaged.
  • ➡️ Frictionless Release: As you continue to apply pressure, you’ll reach the breakpoint. At this stage, the roller system comes into play. The sear engages with a rolling friction mechanism, which minimizes friction and removes any sliding contact. This results in a consistent and smooth release, providing a clean break without any perceived creep or grittiness.
  • ➡️ Overtravel and Reset: After the shot is fired, the trigger will continue to travel slightly backward, allowing for overtravel. Overtravel is the additional distance the trigger moves even after the sear has been released. It helps prevent trigger freeze and contributes to follow-through and target acquisition.
  • ➡️ Reset: Once you release the trigger, it will reset to its initial position, ready for the next shot. The reset process is also designed to be short, tactile, and consistent, allowing for quick and efficient follow-up shots.

🔔 Overall, TriggerTech triggers aim to deliver a superior shooting experience by combining their Frictionless Release Technology™ with stringent manufacturing processes to ensure reliability, safety, and consistent performance.

FAQ 🤔

Are TriggerTech triggers safe?
✅ TriggerTech triggers are generally considered to be safe and reliable. TriggerTech is a reputable manufacturer of firearm triggers known for their precision and enhanced safety features. Their triggers are designed to provide a crisp, clean break and reduce trigger pull weight while maintaining a high level of safety.

➡️ In terms of safety, they typically include features like a drop-safe design, which helps prevent accidental discharges if the firearm is dropped. They also incorporate an internal mechanism that reduces trigger reset time, enhancing follow-up shot speed while maintaining safety.

⚠️ While they are generally considered safe, it’s important to remember that safe firearm handling practices should always be followed.

Are TriggerTech Triggers single-stage or two-stage?
📢 After deep research, our team revealed that TriggerTech Triggers are available in both single-stage and two-stage configurations. TriggerTech offers a range of aftermarket triggers for firearms, and they offer both single-stage and two-stage triggers to suit different shooter preferences and applications.

  • 🔹 A single-stage trigger has a consistent and smooth pull weight throughout the entire length of the trigger pull. When you press the trigger, the sear releases immediately, resulting in a single, uninterrupted motion.
  • 🔸 On the other hand, a two-stage trigger has a two-step pull. The first stage, also known as the “take-up” or “slack,” has a lighter pull weight and typically serves as a preparatory stage. Once you reach the second stage, there is a distinct increase in resistance before the trigger breaks and the firearm discharges. Two-stage triggers are often preferred by precision shooters because they allow for better control and predictability.

🔔 To determine whether a specific model is single-stage or two-stage, it’s best to consult the product descriptions and specifications provided by TriggerTech or contact their customer support for accurate and up-to-date information.

How much does a TriggerTech trigger weigh?
⚖️ The weight can vary depending on the specific model and type of trigger. However, in general, TriggerTech triggers are designed to be lightweight and typically weigh around 2 to 4 ounces (57 to 113 grams).

💡 Note that the weight of the trigger itself may not have a significant impact on the overall weight of the firearm. The weight of a firearm is determined by various factors, including the type of firearm, its components, and any additional attachments or accessories.

Will TriggerTech trigger a run on 9mm uppers?
☑️ TriggerTech triggers are primarily designed for AR-15 and AR-10 platforms chambered in various calibers, including 9mm. However, compatibility can depend on specific models and variations within the AR platform.

🔔 While these triggers are generally versatile and can work with different calibers, we recommend consulting the manufacturer or the product documentation for precise information on compatibility with specific 9mm uppers or configurations. They can provide detailed specifications and recommendations for your specific firearm setup.

Are TriggerTech triggers compatible with any firearm?
❌ Our experts have discovered that TriggerTech triggers are not compatible with every firearm. While TriggerTech manufactures a wide range of triggers that are compatible with various firearms, their triggers are designed for specific platforms and models. Different firearms have different trigger mechanisms, dimensions, and specifications, so it’s important to ensure compatibility before purchasing.

🔐 TriggerTech offers triggers for popular platforms like AR-15, AR-10, Remington 700, Ruger 10/22, and various bolt-action rifles. They also have triggers for certain crossbow models. However, we always recommend checking the TriggerTech website or contacting their customer support to verify compatibility with your specific firearm before making a purchase.

Can I adjust the pull weight of a TriggerTech trigger?
✅ These triggers are known for their high-quality and adjustable features, including pull weight. However, we have found that the specific adjustments and mechanisms may vary depending on the model of the trigger you have.

♻️ They often come with a set screw that allows you to adjust the pull weight. By turning the set screw in or out, you can increase or decrease the trigger’s pull weight. Some models may require disassembly before you can access the set screw, while others may have external adjustments.

💡 To make sure you adjust your trigger correctly and safely, refer to the manufacturer’s user manual or guidelines for your specific model. TriggerTech usually provides detailed instructions on how to make adjustments properly.

⚠️Keep in mind that firearm modifications, including trigger adjustments, can impact safety and functionality. ⭕️If you are unsure or uncomfortable with adjusting the trigger yourself, it’s best to seek assistance from a qualified gunsmith or a knowledgeable professional to avoid any potential issues or risks.

I’ve had experience with Triggertech before, and I must say, I’m extremely pleased with the results. The Triggertech 700 Special found its home in my Bergara B14r, which already had a decent trigger, but this upgrade took it to a whole new level. With a 15ozs setting, zero take-up, and a clean break, it has significantly improved my ability to achieve tight, one-shot groups.

I recently installed the Adaptable trigger on my AR, marking my first time installing a drop-in trigger. The installation process went smoothly, although I wasn’t very familiar with how the safety spring is secured in place by the AR grip. After installation, I noticed that the trigger feels crisp, with minimal take-up. I’m particularly pleased with the feature that allows me to adjust the pull weight. However, due to time constraints, I haven’t had the opportunity to test the trigger at the range yet. I will be sure to provide another review once I’ve had a chance to do so.

The installation and adjustment process for the Rem 700 Special trigger was remarkably straightforward and user-friendly. It exemplified simplicity at its best. Being new to Trigger Tech products, I was introduced to them by a Canadian friend who is sponsored by the company. He assured me that I would be impressed, and he couldn’t have been more right. The trigger’s performance is outstanding, delivering a crisp and precise break with every shot. I particularly appreciate the straight triggers, as they provide consistent and accurate finger placement, which is crucial for PRS-style shooting. As a result, I now own three Triggertech triggers and couldn’t be happier with my purchase

These triggers are the best, offering a clean and crisp performance that I absolutely love. Their reputation is well-earned because they truly deliver on their promises. There’s simply no need to look elsewhere in my opinion. One of the standout features is their impeccable reliability, as they are designed to function flawlessly without any debris affecting their performance. Additionally, the convenience of adjusting them from the bottom is a major plus, but once you’ve set them to your preference, there’s no need to constantly readjust because they maintain their initial settings. I thoroughly enjoy using them!

I initially installed a CMC 3.5lb trigger in my AR10, and it significantly improved my shooting experience compared to the stock trigger. However, I recently made the switch to the Triggertech Diamond trigger, and I must say, it’s a game-changer. This trigger offers the added advantage of adjustability, allowing you to fine-tune it to your personal preferences. Coming from a background of shooting Savage rifles with the accutrigger, where I always set it as light as possible, the Triggertech Diamond trigger was the perfect choice for me. Its smooth pull and crisp, glass-like break have greatly improved my accuracy, bringing my groupings back to an acceptable level. If you’re in the market for a top-notch trigger, I highly recommend giving it a try.

I decided to install it in my Barrett REC10 as an upgrade from the mil-spec trigger, aiming for a designated marksman rifle (DMR) setup. The installation process was straightforward, requiring basic knowledge of removing an AR15 trigger, and the results were truly remarkable. The trigger break is simply unbelievable. Working at a shooting range, I have the opportunity to shoot numerous customer guns, including those equipped with high-end aftermarket triggers. I can confidently say that the Triggertech Diamond trigger competes with the best in the market. Out of the box, mine had a pull weight of approximately 2-2.5 pounds.

The Triggertech Diamond trigger delivers an exceptionally crisp and light pull with zero take-up. Its performance is truly outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. I recently installed this trigger on my AR-10 chambered in .308 for long-distance shooting, and the results have been nothing short of phenomenal. Overall, the Triggertech Diamond trigger has exceeded my expectations in every way.
