First, unscrew the action screws that hold the stock in place. Next, locate the two bolts that hold the trigger guard in place. Unscrew these bolts and removed the trigger guard. With the trigger guard removed, you should be able to see the bolt itself. There will be a small pin at the base of the bolt that needs to be pushed out to release the bolt. Once you have removed the pin, you should be able to simply pull the bolt out of the gun.

If you’re having trouble removing the pin, you can also try using a punch or a small nail. Simply place the punch or nail in the hole at the base of the bolt and tap it with a hammer until the pin pops out. Be careful not to damage the hole when doing this.

Once you have removed the bolt, you can proceed to clean your gun as normal. Be sure to check the condition of the bolt and pin before reassembling your gun. If either is damaged, they should be replaced before you attempt to fire the gun again.

Removing a bolt from a Remington 700 is a relatively simple process that can be completed in just a few minutes. With the right tools and a little bit of patience, you should be able to get your gun cleaned and ready for action in no time. Thanks for reading and good luck!

There are a few ways to remove the bolt from a Remington 700:

  • The first way is to manually cycle the bolt and release it from the ejection port. This can be done by pulling back on the charging handle and then depressing the bolt release.
  • The second way is to use a field stripper tool. This tool is designed specifically for removing the bolts from firearms. To use this tool, you will need to insert it into the front of the gun and depress the plunger. This will allow you to remove the bolt without stripping any of the parts off the gun.
  • The third way is to use a mallet or another blunt object to strike the back of the bolt handle, which will dislodge it from the firearm.

There are a few things to keep in mind when removing the bolt from a Remington 700:

  • First, make sure that the firearm is unloaded and there is no magazine inserted.
  • Second, be sure to remove all live ammunition from the gun before proceeding.

The first step is to make sure the gun is unloaded. To do this, open the action and check that there is no round in the chamber. You should also visually inspect the magazine to make sure it is empty. Once you’ve confirmed that the gun is unloaded, you can proceed with removing the bolt.

If your Remington 700 uses a centerfire cartridge, you will need to remove the magazine and cocking piece before you can remove the bolt. To do this, first, make sure the gun is pointed in a safe direction and the safety is engaged. Then, depress the magazine release and remove the magazine. Next, rotate the cocking piece until it lines up with the slot in the bolt, and then pull it out. Finally, you can remove the bolt by pulling it to the rear and out of the gun.

If your Remington 700 uses a rimfire cartridge, you will not need to remove the magazine or cocking piece before removing the bolt. Simply pull the bolt to the rear and out of the gun.

Once the bolt is removed, you can clean and lubricate it as needed. Be sure to follow all safety instructions when handling firearms and ammunition.

If you’re having trouble removing the bolt from your Remington 700, there are a few things you can try.

  • First, make sure the gun is unloaded.
  • Then, check to see if the safety is on. If it is, turn it off.
  • Next, try tugging on the bolt handle slightly while pressing down on the release button. You may need to do this a few times before the bolt comes loose.
  • Finally, if nothing else works, you can try using a blunt instrument like a hammer to tap on the release button and dislodge the bolt. Again, be sure that the gun is unloaded before attempting this!

First, make sure that the gun is unloaded and that the safety is on.

Then, try using a wrench or pliers to grip the bolt and turn it counterclockwise. If that doesn’t work, you may need to use a pin punch to drive out the retaining pin that holds the bolt in place.

Once the retaining pin is removed, you should be able to easily remove the bolt from the gun.
