The first thing you need to do is make sure that your gun is unloaded. Once your gun is unloaded, you can start adjusting the sights.

How to adjust sights on AK 47?

There are two ways to adjust the sights:

  • Windage. Windage adjustment is used to move the sight left or right to align it with the center of the target. To adjust windage, you will need to loosen the screws that hold the sight in place and then slide the sight in the direction that you want it to go. Once you have aligned the sight with the target, tighten up the screws so that it doesn’t move.
  • Elevation. Elevation adjustment is used to move the sight up or down to align it with the center of the target. To adjust elevation, you will need to loosen the screws that hold the sight in place and then slide the sight in the direction that you want it to go. Once you have aligned the sight with the target, tighten up the screws so that it doesn’t move.

You can also use a combination of both windage and elevation adjustments to get your sights aligned perfectly with the target. Just remember to always keep your gun unloaded while you are adjusting the sights.

The first way is to use the windage knob, which is located on the right side of the gun just above the trigger guard. To adjust the sights using the windage knob, you will need to loosen the set screw that holds it in place. Once the set screw is loosened, you can rotate the dial to move the front sight blade left or right.

The other way to adjust the sights on an AK 47 is by using a file or a T-shaped tool called a “sight adjustment tool”. This method is more precise, but it does require disassembling the gun. First, you will need to remove the dust cover and the gas tube. Then, you will need to drift out the front sight post from left to right. Once the front sight post is removed, you can file down the exposed edge of the post to move the sight blade in the direction you want it to go. After you have made your adjustments, you can reassemble the gun.

To adjust the sights on an AK 47, first, remove the magazine and clear the chamber. Next, locate the windage knob on the right side of the rifle, just above the trigger guard. Using a flathead screwdriver or other suitable tool, turn the knob to move the front sight post left or right, depending on which way you need to adjust it.

For elevation adjustments, find the Elevation Knob located on the left side of the receiver, just forward of the charging handle. Again using a flathead screwdriver or other tool, rotate this knob clockwise to raise the point of impact, or counter-clockwise to lower it.

The most common method is to use a sight tool, which is simply a long rod that fits over the front sight post and allows you to make minute adjustments. You can also use your finger or a small flat-head screwdriver.

If your gun is equipped with adjustable rear sights, you’ll need to take them off completely to make any adjustments. Again, you can use either a sight tool or your finger/screwdriver for this. Just be careful not to turn the windage knob too much, as it’s easy to strip the threads.

Once you have the sights where you want them, be sure to test them out at the range before relying on them in a self-defense situation.

There are a few different ways to adjust the sights on an AK 47, depending on what type of sights you have:

  • If you have adjustable iron sights, you can use a tool like a Sightool or a flathead screwdriver to make adjustments.
  • If you have a rail-mounted optic, you will need to first remove the optic from the rail and then make your adjustments. Again, you will need a tool like a Sightool or a flathead screwdriver.
  • If you have an integrated optic, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your gun to find out how to make adjustments.

The most common types of sights are open sights, which consist of a front sight post and a rear sight aperture, and optical sights, which use a collimated red dot or reflex lens.

If you’re using open sights, then the first step is to make sure that the front sight post is centered in the rear sight aperture. Once it’s centered, you can adjust the elevation by moving the rear sight up or down. To adjust for windage, move the rear sight left or right.

If your rifle has an adjustable gas block, then you can use it to fine-tune the point of impact. Just remember that if you make any major adjustments, you’ll need to re-zero your sights.
